Lawyers of leader Ocalan submit new meeting request 

Today, the lawyers from the Al-Asr Human Rights Office, Riza Sarica, Ozturk Ozgur, Mazlum Dinç, and Faik Ozgur, submitted a new request to the Office of the Public Prosecutor in the city of Bursa, Turkey, and the Imrali Prison Directorate to meet with their clients: leader Abdullah Ocalan, Omer Khayri Kunar, Hamili Yildirim, and Veysi Aktas, who are under severe isolation imposed by Turkey.

The lawyers submit two requests each week to the Public Prosecutor's Office in Bursa and the Imrali Prison Directorate to meet with them, but they have received no response to their requests.

It is noted that the last meeting between the lawyers Riza Sarica and Newroz Uysal and leader Abdullah Ocalan was on August 7, 2019.

On October 23, 2024, after four years of interruption, leader Abdullah Ocalan had a direct meeting with his nephew, Omer Ocalan. During the meeting, the leader conveyed in a message, "The isolation continues, and if the conditions are made available, I have the theoretical and practical strength to shift this process from the ground of conflict and violence to that of legality and politics."

Meanwhile, the torture and extermination regime continues in Imrali, and leader Abdullah Ocalan is denied his rights, even as a detainee.
