After communicating with a number of sources in Al-Nayrab camp in Aleppo, it was confirmed that the recent explosion occurred as a result of mishandling the transfer of missiles in the Air Defense Battalion at Al-Nayrab Airport by members of the Damascus Authority.

The sources confirmed that some human errors committed by the members while transporting the missiles to an unknown destination caused them to explode, without mentioning details about the extent of the human and material damage they caused.

A number of civilians were injured as a result of the shattering of window and door glass due to the pressure resulting from the explosion of the missiles in Al-Nayrab camp, adjacent to the airport, with ambulance and emergency teams heading to the scene of the accident.

The official authorities in Damascus have not issued any statement to clarify the cause of the explosion until the time of preparing this report.
