Kurds in Damascus celebrate International Workers' Day at Zarzar Lake

The Syrian capital, Damascus, witnessed a large public celebration organized by members of the Kurdish community to mark the International Workers' Day. The event, held in the Zarzar Lake area, with the participation of hundreds of Kurdish residents in the city.

This event was jointly organized by the Descendants of Salah al-Din Association and the Osman Sabri Association, whose aim was to commemorate this international occasion, which embodies the values of work and social justice, and to strengthen the spirit of solidarity among the various components of society.

The celebration included a number of artistic and cultural performances, as well as speeches delivered by representatives of both associations, during which they emphasized the importance of the role of workers in building societies and the necessity of protecting their rights and improving their living conditions. The speakers also stressed the importance of unity and joint action in light of the current circumstances.

Men, women, and youth participated in the event, raising banners expressing unity and workers' rights, in an atmosphere of joy and fraternity.

The International Workers' Day is an annual occasion celebrated by workers around the world, highlighting their issues and aspirations for a more just and equitable future.
