Kurds from Southern Kurdistan join Rojava to support resistance

Activists who responded to the mobilization call and came from Southern Kurdistan to Rojava stated that their goal is to fulfill their national duty and support Rojava’s resistance.

The first and second groups of people from Southern Kurdistan have arrived in Qamishli to support Rojava’s resistance as part of the general mobilization against attacks by the Syrian Interim Government’s mercenaries on Rojava. They were warmly welcomed by local residents.

Several participants spoke to our agency about their reasons for coming to Rojava. One said: “I came to do my duty. Long live Kurdistan. As long as there is one Kurd left, we will protect our land.”

Another young man said he joined the resistance because he felt a strong connection to the cause: “I was very happy to see Kurds from all parts of Kurdistan in the convoy. Many came to support Rojava. Today we declare that we will live with dignity and will no longer accept domination. This is the mindset of every Kurd. I call on all parts of Kurdistan to do what they can to support Rojava.”

Activists also emphasized that they came to support the people of Rojava: “Victory to the people of Rojava, and victory to Kurdish unity. All four parts of Kurdistan must work for Rojava.”

They stressed the importance of unifying Kurdish and Kurdistani forces: “We are here for Kurdish unity.”
