Kurdish tribal elders: Kurdish people across parts of Kurdistan are one, their destiny is one

Amid political transformations and the challenges facing the region, calls are intensifying to strengthen Kurdish unity and maintain a unified front to confront threats targeting existence and identity. In this context, our agency met with several elders of the Aziza tribe in the city of Ad-Darbasiyah.

Mahmoud Arbo, an elder of the Aziza tribe, stated that the Kurdish people were subjected to an international conspiracy aimed at undermining their existence and identity, describing what occurred as an existential plot driven by pressure from certain regional states. He added that this conspiracy was halted and thwarted thanks to the solidarity of the Kurdish people across the four parts of Kurdistan, as all united and raised one voice in defense of their cause and legitimate rights.

He noted that this phase proved that when the Kurds stand united, no force can break their will, affirming that preserving and strengthening Kurdish unity is the only way to permanently stop any conspiracy.

Arbo also stressed the importance of recognizing the demands of the Kurdish people and prioritizing the public interest over personal interests, as the current stage does not tolerate division or discord.

For his part, Khadr al-Ramo, one of the elders of the Omra tribe, began his remarks by honoring all martyrs of freedom, emphasizing that they were the foundation of Kurdish unity across different regions. He said that the Kurdish people rose up and lost martyrs and wounded in some areas, but in other regions achieved significant gains represented in strengthening Kurdish unity and consolidating the spirit of solidarity.

He added that the parts of Kurdistan are interconnected, and that any development or setback in one part affects the others, because the people are one and their destiny is one. He affirmed that Kurdish strength lies in their solidarity, and that any division would lead to collective loss.

Regarding the Syrian issue, he pointed out that Syria must be built on genuine democratic foundations that safeguard the rights of all components without discrimination, including their right to use their languages and preserve their customs and culture. He considered that achieving justice and equality is the only path toward the country’s stability and progress.

The elders of the Aziza tribe concluded their message by emphasizing the necessity of preserving Kurdish unity during this sensitive phase and acting with a spirit of collective responsibility, because if the Kurds stand as one, no force will be able to stand against them.
