Kurdish politicians, notables in Ad-Darbasiyah call for building Kurdish national unity

At a time when the political arena in Syria is witnessing rapid developments, calls have been made in North and East Syria for political parties to overcome differences, end the political division, and build a Kurdish national front capable of confronting current challenges and ensuring the legitimate rights of the Kurdish people within a democratic, pluralistic, and decentralized Syria.

In this context, Ali Saleh, a member of the office of the Kurdish Left Party in Syria in the city of Ad-Darbasiyah, stressed the importance of unifying the Kurdish ranks at this critical stage.

He added: "After the fall of the Baath regime and the establishment of a transitional government, events in Syria accelerated in an unprecedented manner. The Kurdish parties must overcome their differences to build a unified national front that represents the Kurds in the central government in Damascus. Unifying the Kurdish ranks is the only way to achieve the legitimate rights of our people."

He pointed out that building national unity will ensure the achievement of justice and equality, and will put the Kurds in a strong position that will enable them to negotiate and protect their political and social gains.

For his part, the notable of the Kurdish "Aziza Clan" in the city of Ad-Darbasiyah, Mahmoud Arabo, stressed the importance of this historic stage.

He said: "The political changes in Syria were surprising, and the Kurdish people at this stage must seize the historic opportunity to build national unity. The gains of the July 19th Revolution, which were achieved thanks to the blood of the martyrs, require all of us to protect these gains and work to form a unified front for the Kurdish people."

Arabo pointed out that national unity is not only a political demand, but also a popular demand, saying: "All the Kurdish people, from young to old, are demanding unity.

The Kurdish parties in Syria must come together to head to Damascus as one and ensure the achievement of our national rights within a constitution that guarantees the rights of all components of Syrian society."

For his part, the notable of the Kurdish Omra clan in Ad-Darbasiyah, Hajj Jamal Hajj Mansour, said: "Syria is entering a new phase after years of crises. This phase requires building a decentralized democratic Syria that includes all components of society.

The Kurds form a strong political and military front, but there are attempts to distance them from their rights and true representation."

Hajj Mansour stressed that achieving national unity requires all Kurdish parties to move away from narrow partisan interests and work together to improve the Kurdish reality, concluding by saying: "The current phase is a real test for the Kurdish parties in Syria. We must work to form a cohesive national front that reflects the will of the Kurdish people and guarantees us a place in the future of democratic Syria."

 These calls constitute a clear message emphasizing the need to overcome political divisions and achieve Kurdish unity in Syria. National unity is not just a political demand, but a historical necessity to preserve the gains and achieve a secure and stable future for the Kurdish people within the framework of a unified and democratic Syria.
