Kurdish political parties: National unity is necessary to protect the people

The Kurdish Democratic Left Party in Syria and the Kurdish Liberal Party in Syria stressed the necessity of achieving Kurdish national unity to confront the attacks and risks that are increasing with the escalation of conflicts around the world.

The Kurdish parties and the Kurdish people face constant risks and challenges, especially with the increasing intensity of conflict and crises within the geography of the Middle East and the world. The Secretary-General of the Kurdish Democratic Left Party in Syria, Saleh Kado, drew attention to these risks, saying: “The threats and risks to the region have not stopped, since the beginning of The beginning of the revolution and until now, we have to be realistic that between the fangs of the wolves, the regional countries, especially the Turkish state, are planning and looking for opportunities to end the Kurdish people.”

Saleh Kado called on the Kurdish people and other components of the region, at this historical stage, to act in a spirit of responsibility and the spirit of brotherhood of peoples, and stressed the need to deepen relations further between the Kurds, Arabs, Syriacs, Assyrians and all components in the region.

He stressed, "There is an urgent need to put the Kurdish house in order and unify its ranks, and therefore a serious stance must be taken on the Kurdish political movement so that we can work together to reunite the Kurdish house and unify it at this historical stage." He also noted the need to develop relations with international powers, especially those in the region.

In his turn, the head of the Kurdish Liberal Party in Syria, Farhad Tello, agreed with the Secretary of the Kurdish Democratic Left Party in Syria on the necessity of national unity to confront the attacks of the occupying countries targeting the people.

Regarding the reasons and obstacles that prevented the fulfillment of these necessities, Farhad Tello continued: “With the establishment of the Kurdistan National Congress, a basic issue and important positions were put forward to form a military authority for the Kurdish people at the level of the four parts of Kurdistan, but the intervention of the occupying and external forces affected some political parties and forces.” prevented us from achieving this goal.”

He added, "The foreign and occupying powers have always sought to divide the Kurdish political parties and forces, and they continue to this day. To confront these policies, the Kurdistan National Congress held a conference in the city of Sulaymaniyah to form a political reference, but some parties did not participate."
