Political parties, cultural and literary institutions and organizations organized a meeting to discuss the unity of the Kurdish ranks in order to reach a common formula and vision for resolving the Kurdish issue.

On Saturday, representatives of the Kurdish political parties and the Kurdistan National Congress, male and female members, Kurdish cultural and literary institutions and organizations, and independent academics and politicians, organized a meeting in the Reading Park in the city of Qamishlo.

The goal of the meeting was to discuss the unity of the Kurdish ranks in order to reach a common formula and vision for resolving the Kurdish issue.

The meeting was supervised by the co-chair of the Democratic Union Party (PYD), Asia Abdullah, the secretary of the Kurdish Democratic Party in Syria (Party), Nasr al-Din Ibrahim, the secretary of the Kurdish Left Party in Syria, Muhammad Musa, and the head of the Kurdistan Democratic Peace Party, Talal Muhammad.

The meeting opened with a speech by Asia Abdullah, in which she explained the points that would be discussed in the meeting and its purpose, as she said: “This meeting is part of a series of meetings that were held and will be held in the coming days with the aim of agreeing on a draft to resolve the Kurdish issue in Syria, and the points of this draft are now being discussed as political parties and institutions, community and cultural activities for our people, to express their opinions and put forward proposals to reach a final formula that will be shared with public opinion later.”

The meeting will then continue closed to the media.
