Kurdish delegation to head to Damascus

Sources reported that the Kurdish delegation emerging from the Kurdish Unity Conference on April 26, 2025, will head to Damascus to hold negotiations with the Interim Government in Syria.

Following the agreement signed on January 29, 2026, between the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Interim Government in Syria, which was announced to the public on January 30, political efforts have been increasing.

In addition to ongoing negotiations to implement the agreement, Kurdish parties are also making intensive efforts in this context.

According to information obtained by ANHA agency from party sources, the Kurdish delegation emerging from the “Conference on Kurdish Unity and Position in Rojava Kurdistan” (held in the city of Qamishlo on April 26, 2025) will head to Damascus.

The sources did not specify an exact date for the delegation’s departure but said it would be in the very near future.

The sources indicated that meetings will be held in Damascus with the Interim Government regarding the protection and guarantee of rights in the constitution, the democratization of Syria, and civil liberties.
