The Kongra Star Council issued a written statement regarding the horrific massacre committed by the Turkish occupation in the Kobani countryside, which claimed the lives of an entire family as a result of an airstrike targeting a house in the area between the villages of Barkh Botan and Qomji. This resulted in the martyrdom of seven children and their parents, in addition to seriously wounding two other children.

The statement explained that the Turkish occupation state continues to commit massacres and kill civilians without interruption, adding another massacre to its record of crimes against the Kurdish people with its attack on Kobani on the anniversary of the Halabja massacre.

It added, "In its attempt to break the resistance of the people of Kobani, the Turkish state is deliberately killing children, the elderly, women, and men, seeking to shatter the will of the people of Kobani and northeastern Syria through its brutal attacks."

The Kongra Star Council affirmed its condemnation of these brutal attacks and massacres targeting civilians, and denounced the shameful international silence regarding these crimes. It stated, "We also affirm the continuation of the struggle against the Turkish occupation and its brutal practices."
