On January 18, the Autonomous Administration declared a general mobilization against attacks by Syrian Interim Government factions targeting Rojava and the north and east of the country. Since that day, local residents have taken positions to defend their land, street by street and neighborhood by neighborhood, alongside their defense forces as part of legitimate defense.

Kobani remains one of the key points of this resistance. Residents actively engaged in the general mobilization spoke to ANHA agency.

Berivan Jalal explained that despite the lack of basic life necessities and numerous difficulties, they will continue to resist, saying: "We will resist until the last moment. We have adopted resistance as our principle, and we will never abandon it."

She emphasized that they will always support the fighters of the People’s Protection Units (YPG) and Women’s Protection Units (YPJ), stating: "We protect our city and work day and night to defend Kobani. We will not allow the enemy to enter our land."

Mohammed Saleh Abdulrahman confirmed that they do not seek bloodshed, but rather freedom and security in their land, adding: "Our land was liberated with the blood of our martyrs, and we will never allow anyone to enter it."

He further stressed: "We will always resist and support our fighters. Since this land is ours, we will protect it as long as a drop of blood flows in our veins. To live with dignity and peace, we will always resist."

Yusra Khashman also affirmed that they will protect their land despite all difficulties, adding: "Kobani is under the harshest siege, and we want the siege lifted from our people. Everything is scarce in Kobani – no water, food, or medicine – yet despite all these hardships, we will resist until our last breath and will never abandon our city, Kobani."

She concluded by saying that whenever the enemy tries to launch attacks or impose a siege on Kobani, they will intensify their struggle and resistance against them.
