The Martyrs' Families Council in Kobani organized an event on Tuesday at the Free Woman Square, demanding the release of all prisoners held by the Syrian Interim Government. In addition, dozens of prisoners' families participated, holding up pictures of their sons during the gathering.

The event began with holding a minute of silence, followed by a speech delivered by Khalid Omer; the former prisoner and fighter who was released under the January 29th Agreement between the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Syrian Interim Government.

He said, "From the moment we fell into their hands until the day of our release, they beat and tortured us. We went through very difficult circumstances."

Speaking about the January 29th Agreement, he added that one of its clauses stipulates the release of all prisoners and their return to their families. However, he asserted that the Syrian Interim Government is exploiting this clause for its own interests and delaying the prisoners' release.

The event concluded with shouting chants, "We want freedom for all prisoners," "Kobani is empty because our prisoners are missing," and "We want our prisoners back."
