KNK congratulates Islamic world and Kurdistan people on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr

This came during a telegram issued by the Executive Council of KNK on the occasion of this Eid al-Fitr, which read:

Today is Eid, Happy Eid al-Fitr. We first congratulate the advent of Eid al-Fitr on the prisoners and freedom fighters and on the people of Kurdistan and the entire Islamic world. We hope that Eid al-Fitr will be a means of peace and stability in our country and in the entire world.

The Kurdistan Defense Forces have carried out major operations against the occupiers and dealt severe blows to the enemies in the past months. Currently, we are at the beginning of spring, and three weeks ago, we celebrated Nowroz throughout Kurdistan and outside the country. After that, our people adopted their will in the (local) elections in northern Kurdistan and achieved a great victory, and we welcome Eid al-Fitr with the achievement of these victories.

However, there is a crisis situation in our homeland, as genocidal attacks continue against our people throughout Kurdistan, and the occupation attacks against southern and western Kurdistan is increasing.

As for eastern Kurdistan, the state’s pressure on the people continues, and social problems worsen and deepen day after day. In southern Kurdistan, economic and social problems continue, and the problems of the disputed areas have not been resolved yet.

While Turkish state attacks has increased, all Kurdish forces must combat these attacks and assaults. On this occasion, we call on all Kurds and Kurdistanis to confront the attacks and occupation, raise their voices of condemnation against the occupiers, and strengthen their unity.

Even in these circumstances and conditions, we have hope and faith that our people will soon celebrate their holidays and celebrations on their free land with stability, peace and freedom, and on this occasion, we once again congratulate all prisoners and freedom fighters and the people of Kurdistan and the entire Islamic world on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr.
