K .Star congratulates  on its 22nd anniversary

On the occasion of the 22nd anniversary of the founding of the Democratic Union Party (PYD), which coincides today, September 20, Star Conference extended its warmest congratulations and blessings to the party.

A statement issued by the conference highly appreciated the great sacrifices and ongoing struggles made by the party over the decades, affirming that this journey has formed a cornerstone in establishing the values of freedom, justice, and democracy.

The statement confirmed that the Democratic Union Party, through its policies and positions, has been able to embody the will of the people and serve as an example in promoting the role of women, youth, and society in building a genuine democratic model.

It pointed out that the Democratic Union Party is the first party in Syria to adopt the principle of co-chairmanship and to establish a special council for women within its structure, reflecting its deep commitment to placing women at the heart of the political and social process and enhancing their active participation, thereby promoting pluralism, justice, and equality among all components of Syrian society.

Kongra Star, in its statement, reaffirmed its full support for the party’s vision in building a pluralistic democratic Syria that respects the rights of all people, guarantees social justice, and ensures active participation in decision-making, empowering women and youth as the main drivers of change and progress to be equal partners in all aspects of society and institutions.
