Yesterday, a Syrian conference was held for the physical freedom of Leader Abdullah Ocalan, at the invitation of the Syrian Initiative for the Freedom of Leader Abdullah Ocalan, the Syrian Lawyers’ Initiative to Defend Leader Abdullah Ocalan, and the Doctors Union, in the city of Raqqa, under the slogan (Violating international law in the case of Leader Abdullah Ocalan and the right to justice).

Member of the Syrian Initiative Committee to Defend Leader Abdullah Ocalan in Damascus, lawyer Hassan Al-Abdullah, said: “Leader Abdullah Ocalan’s thought is the basis for all legal, humanitarian and political axes at the level of the Middle East and the entire world and constitutes an integrated road map in all its aspects, because it takes into account the peculiarities of all components, and peoples, their traditions and customs, and it is based on the principle of each component’s respect for the other according to its beliefs, according to its history, and according to its existence through coexistence in a specific system.”

He added, "The best evidence of this is the nascent experience in northern and north-eastern Syria, which derived its foundations from the thought of Leader Abdullah Ocalan, and this success that we see in recent years through the great cohesion between the components present in this region and in order to defend their interests and common destiny."

He stressed, "All components and peoples in the Middle East must fulfill their obligations and defend the freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan, because the leader constitutes a suitable ground for liberating peoples and components from backwardness and bygone times that imposed on them obsolete customs and traditions."

The head of the Syria First Party, the human rights activist Suleiman Shabib, from the city of Damascus, said: “Defending the leader Abdullah Ocalan is a moral duty for those peoples who see themselves and their being in the thought of the leader Abdullah Ocalan, cohesion is very necessary at this crucial stage.”

He continued, "A regime was imposed on Leader Abdullah Ocalan in Imrali prison that contradicts international and humanitarian standards, because the leader represents all peoples who yearn for freedom, because his thought, principles, and actions are consistent with the interests of the people of this region, which deals with the aggressive approach of the Turkish regime and the Zionist regime in occupied Palestine, and our conviction is that this fighter He was subjected to great injustice and violation from the first moment of his kidnapping, and then to these chauvinistic practices that were practiced against him in prison.”

He stressed, "The Turkish regime is tightening its isolation on the activist and thinker Abdullah Ocalan because it is afraid of his idea because it contradicts the ideology adopted by Erdogan and is working to promote it in the region at the expense of the countries and people of the region."

He added, "There are great ideas that Leader Ocalan came up with, such as democratic rule, a democratic state, democratic peoples, and the necessity of solving the problems of all components within the borders of the national state."

He stressed, "These ideas constitute a major obstacle in the face of the Turkish regime's ambitions to revive the new Ottoman Empire, and therefore the failed government is working to create these pretexts to tighten the isolation of leader Abdullah Ocalan."
