Israeli warplanes renew airstrikes on Syrian territory

The Israeli warplanes renewed their airstrikes on Syrian territory, targeting a site on the summit of Mount Qasioun and the Mezzeh Military Airport in Damascus.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that Israeli warplanes carried out new airstrikes on Syrian territory, targeting a site on the summit of Mount Qasioun and the Mezzeh Military Airport in Damascus.

The Observatory stated: “Loud explosions were heard, accompanied by rising columns of smoke from the targeted sites, with no information yet about human casualties.”

Since the beginning of 2024, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has documented 176 instances in which Israel targeted Syrian territory, including 150 airstrikes and 26 ground strikes. These attacks resulted in the damage and destruction of approximately 321 targets, including weapons and ammunition depots, headquarters, centers, and vehicles. The strikes also caused the deaths of 416 military personnel and injured 286 others with varying degrees of severity.
