Israeli strike kills 3 Hezbollah members in Syria

Two missiles fired by an Israeli march struck two vehicles belonging to the Lebanese Hezbollah group in central Syria, killing three members, according to what the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights explained.

The killing of the three members of the Lebanese Hezbollah movement came hours after the explosion that occurred in the Mezzeh area, west of Damascus, with an explosive device. Media reports said that the target was one of those close to the party.

The Observatory revealed, in statements to Al Arabiya Today, that “an Israeli drone fired two missiles at a car and a truck belonging to Hezbollah near the city of Qusayr” near the border with Lebanon in Homs.

It also explained that the two vehicles were "on their way to Dabaa Military Airport," which led to "the killing of at least 3 party fighters and the wounding of others."

It is noteworthy that this is the third attack of its kind within a week on Hezbollah targets in Syria near the Lebanese border.

Last Monday, a strike attributed to Israel targeted a Hezbollah headquarters in the same area, killing eight fighters loyal to Tehran, according to SOHR.

Another strike also struck at the same time a headquarters used by groups loyal to Tehran, south of the city of Homs.

Last Saturday, an Israeli strike targeted a car in which a Hezbollah leader and his companion were traveling in the Dimas area, according to the Observatory, without specifying their fate, while Hezbollah did not announce the killing of any of its members.
