An Israeli military patrol advanced into the northern countryside of Quneitra today and set up a checkpoint on the road connecting Ain al-Bayda and Jubata al-Khashab, at the quarry junction.

The patrol consisted of three military vehicles and stopped and searched passersby on the road between the villages of Ain al-Bayda and Ofaniya, restricting civilian movement in the area.

The ground movements coincided with intensive Israeli drone activity over Quneitra province.

Separately, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported earlier today that an Israeli patrol comprising several military vehicles had advanced into the town of Umm Batna in the central countryside of Quneitra.
