Israeli incursions, searches of sites, civilians in southern Syria

Late Monday night into Tuesday, an Israeli military unit entered the air defense company headquarters belonging to the Syrian transitional government forces in the village of al-Koum in rural Quneitra.

According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), the incursion was accompanied by inspection operations inside the barracks before the forces withdrew toward Al-salam (Peace) Highway. They also set up a checkpoint on the Kom Mhaires–Khan Arnabeh road and searched passersby, with no reports of any arrests of civilians.

Earlier, another Israeli unit composed of four tanks and several troop carriers advanced from the al-Hamidiyah base toward the village of Ofaniya in northern Quneitra, coinciding with the flight of a drone over the area.

Israeli forces also entered the outskirts of the town of al-Samadaniyah al-Gharbiyah in rural Quneitra, coming from the al-Burj point in the destroyed city of Quneitra.

According to reports, three military vehicles and two tanks participated in the incursion, moving through the surrounding farmlands before returning to their positions inside the demilitarized zone.
