Israeli forces entered the area today from Tal Abu Ghaythar toward al-Hanout village in the Quneitra countryside and conducted a search operation in the area, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

The forces opened fire toward a local resident while he was collecting firewood. There was no immediate information regarding whether he sustained any injuries.

The forces subsequently withdrew from al-Hanout toward al-Razaniyah, and from there toward Saida and the Raqad Company area, where they established a temporary checkpoint before withdrawing again toward Saida and al-Razaniyah.

The forces reached a checkpoint west of al-Hanout and fired two shots before withdrawing toward Tal Abu Ghaythar.

The incident comes amid continued Israeli movements and incursions in the Quneitra and Daraa countrysides, including search operations and military deployments in areas near the lines of contact.
