Late yesterday, the southern Quneitra countryside witnessed escalating Israeli military activity, including the establishment of a temporary checkpoint north of the village of Al-Rafid. Israeli forces searched passersby and arrested a young man before withdrawing to the Tal Ahmar Gharbi base from which they had launched their operation.

This came hours after an Israeli military force consisting of ten vehicles infiltrated the outskirts of the village of Ain Ziwan in the same countryside, amid intense reconnaissance flights in the area. This move reflects the expanding scope of Israeli military activity along the Syrian border.

These actions come amid the absence of any official response from the transitional government and the silence of the official media, which has largely ignored the developments on the border. This raises questions about the position of the current government regarding the repeated Israeli violations.
