ISF - Aleppo condemned Transitional Govt.'s armed attack on its checkpoint

The Internal Security Forces - Aleppo issued a statement on the armed attack launched by the Transitional Government Forces that targeted a joint checkpoint of its forces and those of the Transitional Government. The statement included,

"We, the Internal Security Forces - Aleppo, condemn the armed attack carried out on Thursday morning by forces affiliated with the Interim Government on a joint checkpoint at al-Shihan roundabout in the vicinity of Ashrafiyeh neighborhood.

The statement added, "The attack resulted in two members of the Internal Security Forces being seriously injured. They were subsequently transferred to the hospital for receiving the medical treatment. Otherwise, necessary measures were taken to secure the site and prevent the spread of the clash."

It made clear, "This incident is a continuation of a series of repeated violations carried out by the armed groups affiliated with the Interim Government, in clear violation of efforts to establish security and stability in the region."

In its statement, the Internal Security Forces - Aleppo affirmed its full commitment to protecting civilians and maintaining public safety, and held "the parties responsible for this attack the full legally and morally liability for its consequences."
