International Coalition airstrike kills Hurras al-Din leader in Aleppo

Abu Hassan al-Nuaimi, one of the commanders of the mercenaries of “Hurras al-Din,” was killed as a result of an airstrike that targeted him in the town of Sheikh Zayat in southern Aleppo countryside, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

Sources reported that the strike was carried out while al-Nuaimi was in the vicinity of the town, killing him instantly, with no confirmed information about other casualties.

According to available information, the airstrike was conducted by International Coalition forces. Al-Nuaimi had left his home accompanied by several young men toward the outskirts of the town, before receiving a phone call from an unknown person. He separated to take the call, after which a direct aerial strike targeted him, leading to his death.

This targeting comes as part of ongoing strikes against figures and leaders in northern Syria.

On September 4 last year, two people—one of whom was believed to belong to a “jihadist” group—were killed when the vehicle they were traveling in was targeted by an airstrike carried out by an International Coalition drone on the road leading to Aleppo International Airport.
