Internal Security Forces issue statement on ISIS cell attack in Dhiban
The General Command of the Internal Security Forces in North and East Syria issued an official statement on Thursday regarding an ISIS cell attack targeting one of its security checkpoints in the town of Dhiban in the eastern Deir ez-Zor countryside.

An Internal Security Forces security checkpoint in the town of Dhiban in the eastern Deir ez-Zor countryside was subjected to an armed attack by ISIS mercenary cells this afternoon, Thursday, resulting in the injury of one member.
The official statement issued by the General Command of the Internal Security Forces in North and East Syria read: "In a desperate attempt to destabilize the security of our region, terrorist cells affiliated with ISIS carried out a treacherous attack on one of our forces' checkpoints in Dhiban this afternoon, using a motorcycle, resulting in the injury of one of our members who is currently receiving necessary medical care."
The statement added: "Our forces responded to the attack immediately and decisively, targeting the source of the fire and pursuing the terrorist elements. Security measures in the area were also reinforced through intensified patrols and combing operations."
In its statement, the General Command emphasized its "continuation in fulfilling its sacred duty to protect the region and its people," calling on citizens to "cooperate with the security forces and report any suspicious activities."
