The Internal Security Forces (Asayish) command in Hasakah province issued a statement today banning the movement of all types of motorcycles within the administrative borders of the province.

The statement confirmed that the decision was taken based on public interest requirements and as part of efforts to ensure the safety and security of citizens, following a recorded increase in crime rates and accidents associated with the use of motorcycles, according to security reports and statistics.

It added that all security units and patrols have been assigned to monitor the implementation of the decision and take necessary action against violators around the clock.

The statement explained that any violating motorcycle will be confiscated under an official report prepared by the competent authorities, with legal and administrative measures taken against its rider or owner without exception.

It stressed that the violator bears full legal responsibility resulting from breaching the decision, affirming that there will be no leniency in its enforcement or allowance of any violations.

The command stated that this measure comes as part of efforts aimed at reducing violations that threaten civil peace and enhancing security and stability in the Hasakah region.
