The General Command of the Internal Security Forces in Hasaka Governorate issued a statement today regarding the arrest of Hussein al-Hasou, the individual involved in the attack targeting Kurdish symbols in Qamishlo.

The statement read: "Affirming our commitment to protect civil peace and preserving societal symbols and achievements, we announce to the public that our forces have apprehended Hussein al-Hasou, following his involvement in attacks targeting Kurdish symbols in the city of Qamishlo.

Upon locating the wanted individual and monitoring his movements, close coordination was established with the relevant agencies within the General Security Directorate of the Syrian Interim Government. Based onintelligence information, his location was raided, and he was arrested at 3:00 AM this morning."

Initial investigations and available information indicate that the primary motive behind these acts of sabotage is a desperate attempt to destabilize the region, sow discord, and create chaos among its diverse communities, who enjoy peaceful coexistence.

We affirm that the detainee will undergo a thorough and comprehensive investigation to uncover all the circumstances of the case, in preparation for bringing him to justice to receive his due punishment in accordance with applicable laws and procedures. We also note that the General Security Directorate will issue a subsequent statement containing further details regarding the progress of the investigation.

We, in the General Command of the Internal Security Forces, renew our pledge to our people that we will hold accountable all those who threaten the security and safety of our nation.
