Internal security forces: 2 martyred over Turkish attacks

 The Qereçox Mountain and the villages of Şerik and Taqil Baqil came under drone strikes by the Turkish occupation. Additionally, a Turkish drone targeted a civilian vehicle in the village of Khanasor in the countryside of Dêrik, located in the Jazira canton, NE Syria.

 The Internal Security Forces issued a statement regarding these attacks, revealing that two civilians lost their lives, and another was injured.

 The statement read as follows:

 “The Turkish war machine continues to target areas in North and East Syria with impunity. Whether through drones, heavy artillery, or its mercenaries, Turkey is attempting to advance toward key locations such as the Tishrin Dam and the Qaraqozak Bridge to fulfill its ambitions of displacing local populations, altering the region's demographics, and expanding its occupation of Syrian territories.

 Today, Turkish occupation forces launched attacks on Koçerat, Qereçox Mountain, Taqil Baqil, and the village of Şerik. A civilian Hyundai Veracruz vehicle in the village of Khanasor, Dêrik countryside was also targeted.

 As a result of the vehicle strike, two civilians inside were martyred, and another individual nearby was injured by shrapnel. The injured civilian was transferred to the hospital for necessary medical care.

 We at the General Command of the Internal Security Forces, emphasize that while all parties to the Syrian conflict are working to find solutions that serve the interests of the Syrian people after the fall of the Assad regime, the Turkish occupation aims to expand its control over Syrian territories .”
