Intensive Israeli raids on Syria

Israel penetrated into both Daraa and Quneitra, coinciding with intense bombardment of several areas in Syria, killing at least 4 people and wounding others.

Israeli warplanes launched a series of raids on a town south of the capital Damascus, as well as the southern province of Daraa, late on Tuesday.
The SOHR said that the Israeli Air Force carried out 4 strikes targeting the headquarters of the First Division, in which military tanks gather, and explosions were heard in Izraa as a result of the Israeli targeting of the 112th Brigade in the countryside of Daraa, killing 4 people and wounding others.
According to eyewitnesses in Damascus, the sounds of planes flying at low altitude over the capital and a series of loud explosions were heard.

In conjunction with the shelling, the Observatory indicated that an Israeli force supported by military vehicles penetrated towards the village of Al-Bakkar, west of Daraa, and another force penetrated into the village of Ain al-Bayda near the town of Jubata al-Khashab and Tal al-Ahmar, north of the town of Khan Arnaba in the countryside of Quneitra.
Earlier on Tuesday, Israeli warplanes had launched raids on border posts between Syria and Lebanon in the barrens of Nabi Sheet opposite the town of Sarghaya in the Damascus countryside, and an Israeli drone was targeted by an air strike on one of the sites in the same area, killing two unidentified people.
On the other hand, the Israeli army said in a statement, that it targeted military sites in Southern Syria, including headquarters and sites it said contained weapons, and the spokesman for Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said: "The air force is attacking strongly in Southern Syria within the framework of the new policy we have set to calm Southern Syria - and the message is clear: we will not allow Southern Syria to become Southern Lebanon." He added: "Any attempt by the Syrian regime forces and terrorist organizations in the country to position themselves in the safe zone in Southern Syria will be met with fire."
