Injured protesters describe moments of targeting, vow to remain at Tishrin Dam

The Turkish occupation forces launched an attack on a gathering of protesters near the Tishrin Dam south of Kobani. The bombing resulted in multiple injuries, with the victims transferred to medical facilities for treatment.

One of the injured, who sustained a head wound from shrapnel, stated: “The Turkish occupation directly targeted us. What does Erdogan want from us? We are civilians.”

Another injured declared: “We will not abandon the dam; this is our land. Resistance is life, and we stand with our children in the Syrian Democratic Forces.”

Earlier in the day, a convoy of hundreds of protesters from Kobani arrived at the Tishrin Dam to denounce the Turkish occupation’s attacks.

Since January 8, residents of the Autonomous Administration regions in North and East Syria have taken turns safeguarding the Tishrin Dam from the aggression of the Turkish military and its backed mercenaries.
