"Humanity and Security" Campaign continues within fifth section of al-Hol camp

Today, the Internal Security Forces continue sweeping operations inside the fifth section, which houses "Syrians who moved to the camp after the Syrian Democratic Forces eliminated the last strongholds of ISIS mercenaries in the town of Al-Baghouz in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor in 2019."

Yesterday, the Media Center of the Internal Security Forces in the northern and eastern region of Syria published information about the progress of the first day’s operations in the fifth section, where it confirmed that 2 Kalashnikov weapons, 2 hand grenades, Kalashnikov ammunition, and military bags were found during the combing operations.

On December 28, 2023, one of the leaders of ISIS cells, called “Abu Ubaida al-Iraqi,” was killed in the fifth section of the camp.

The so-called "Abu Ubaida al-Iraqi" was responsible for the killing of many women and men in the camp, and targeting everyone who rejects ISIS ideas.

The same fifth section, during the second phase of the operation in 2022, witnessed clashes between the Syrian Democratic Forces and ISIS mercenary cells, as a result of which two fighters within the ranks of the Syrian Democratic Forces were martyred, and a number of mercenaries were killed.
