HRE: 20 Turkish occupation mercenaries killed, 17 others injured in 2 operations
In response to the attacks and policies of the Turkish occupation and its affiliated mercenaries, the Afrin Liberation Forces (HRE) carried out two military operations around the city of Azaz and the town of Mare', resulting in the deaths of 20 mercenaries, injuries to 17 others, and the destruction of three vehicles.
Today, the Afrin Liberation Forces issued a public statement revealing that their forces conducted two military operations against the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries.
The Afrin Liberation Forces confirmed that these military operations were in response to the attacks and policies of the Turkish occupation and its affiliated mercenaries against the people of the region.
The statement outlined the following details:
1. On August 9, our forces attacked a mercenaries’ position, completely destroying it and killing the mercenaries present there.
This operation resulted in the death of 3 mercenaries and the injury of 5 others.
2. On August 11, our forces entered enemy positions from three directions around the town of Mare'. The operation was carried out as planned, leading to the destruction of enemy positions. Our forces initially seized two vehicles loaded with 14.5mm Dushka machine guns. After taking control of these weapons, our forces used them to target enemy positions in the area of the operation and struck a group of mercenaries on their way to provide reinforcements. The two Dushka-equipped vehicles were subsequently destroyed. Our forces documented numerous enemy casualties and seized their weapons and military equipment, completely burning down enemy positions. When the mercenaries attempted to send reinforcements, our forces targeted their vehicles, resulting in the complete destruction of one vehicle and the death of all mercenaries inside it. After the successful completion of the operation, our forces returned to their positions safely.
As a result of this operation, 17 mercenaries were killed and 12 others were injured. Additionally, two vehicles equipped with DShK machine guns, one support vehicle, two motorcycles, and the fortifications where the mercenaries were stationed were destroyed. Our forces also seized one RPG weapon, seven RPG shells, a shell carrying bag, two AK-47 magazines, seven AK-47 magazines, a quantity of ammunition, a mobile phone, and a military ID card.
Overall, 20 mercenaries were killed and 17 were injured in both operations carried out by our forces. Two vehicles equipped with DShK machine guns, one support vehicle, two motorcycles, and the enemy positions were destroyed. The forces also seized one RPG weapon, seven RPG shells, a shell carrying bag, two AK-47 magazines, seven AK-47 magazines, a quantity of ammunition, a mobile phone, and a military ID card.
