The demands of the Kurdish people for the necessity of unifying the Kurdish ranks and holding a national Kurdistan conference are renewed, as it is seen as the way to address the challenges, problems, and violations that the Kurdish people and their cause have faced in recent years.

In this context, the Kurdish poet Hozan Kerkenda saw that the current phase Syria and the region are going through necessitates the unification of the Kurdish front, in light of the escalating challenges facing Rojava, whether through military attacks or recent media campaigns.

He emphasized the necessity of establishing a Kurdish reference that works to bring the viewpoints of the Kurdish parties closer together and to promote acceptance of the other. Achieving Kurdish unity at this stage would serve the interests of the Kurdish people and political forces, and contribute to removing obstacles in front of the Kurdish community.

He considered that the disagreements among Kurdish political forces, parties, and factions negatively impact the lives of the Kurdish people and lead to a state of disparity and division.

He called on the parties to reconsider their policies and work at a higher pace to achieve Kurdish unity. He also called on the Kurdish people to continue pressuring the political forces to expedite the establishment of a Kurdish reference that represents them in international forums.

For her part, the co-chair of the Council of Religions and Beliefs in Rojava, Walida Bouti, saw that Kurdish unity represents a deep national sentiment among the Kurdish people, based on solidarity, collective thinking, and conveying positions with one voice.

She pointed out that the efforts of Kurdish political parties toward achieving unity often face challenges related to narrow personal interests, which constitute an obstacle to consensus.

She emphasized that the Kurdish people in Kurdistan are fundamentally one people, and this unity should also be reflected at the level of Kurdish leaderships and political parties.

Walida Bouti confirmed that the Kurdish political divisions directly reflect on the Kurdish street and thus its fragmentation, leading to varying stances according to the policies and visions of each party individually.

She warned that the continuation of the division could lead to a decline in the Kurdish street's trust in political forces.

She pointed out that the recent Kurdish conference was a source of pride for the Kurdish people and contributed to enhancing the hope of Kurds striving for unity.

She promised that the unity of the Kurdish stance during the recent attacks on Rojava and Southern Kurdistan sent a clear message to the political parties, indicating that the Kurdish people are capable of unifying their stance without the need for direct representation from political forces.

She believed that the continuation of disputes among the parties exacerbates the suffering of the Kurdish people, and that establishing a Kurdish reference thru holding a national Kurdish conference, representing the Kurds with a unified voice and stance, would contribute to addressing the Kurdish issue and ensuring rights.

She said, "Holding a Kurdistan National Conference will be the solution to the Kurdish issue."

For his part, civil society activist Barzan Suleiman pointed out that the Kurdish people have been struggling for decades to achieve their freedom and resolve their issue fairly. He praised the military role of the Kurds in various wars and their bravery.

Suleiman criticized the Kurdish political performance in the negotiation process regarding the Kurdish issue, stating that it did not rise to the level of the Kurdish people's aspirations, despite the existence of agreements concluded between the Kurdish parties and the interim government.

He attributed this to the lack of unity in stance and demands among the Kurdish political forces, which negatively affects the representation of the Kurdish people's aspirations.

He said, "Without achieving Kurdish unity and a unified stance, it is impossible to establish Kurdish rights."

Barzan Suleiman warned the Kurdish parties and political forces against losing the trust and faith of the Kurdish street in their ability to secure rights, in the event of continued divisions and disputes among them, and that part of the people still retains a degree of trust in these forces.

He pointed out that the Kurdish people are still paying the price of the repercussions of political disputes and divisions, through the continuation of attacks, displacement operations, and massacres, in addition to Arabization policies and demographic changes.

He affirmed that Kurdish unity is the only way to eliminate the impact of projects that have deprived the Kurds of their rights to citizenship and land, saying: "Kurdish unity is the safety valve for the Kurds to obtain their rights and to remove the exceptional measures against them."

He pointed out that the role assigned to the Kurdish people is to organize themselves in accordance with the requirements of the stage, and that there are efforts to form a union of Kurdish tribes that would support the Kurdish forces and parties, rather than replace them.
