Images and videos circulated on social media depict a wide-ranging security campaign by Iranian forces intended to silence citizens and suppress any protest activities. A significant number of personnel from the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps were stationed around the Aychi cemetery in Saqqez, a symbolic site for gatherings in previous years.

Since early morning, shops and workplaces have closed their doors, and a general strike has been reported in some areas. Helicopters have also been observed flying over the city, indicating a heightened state of security readiness.

Jina Amini was killed following a severe beating by the Iranian "morality police" while she was visiting relatives with her family. Her death sparked the "Women, Life, Freedom" uprising, a movement protesting the violations committed against women by Iranian authorities.
