Heating oil distributed in al-Sabkha of Raqqa

The Fuel Directorate of the Autonomous Administration of Raqqa Canton has begun delivering electronic heating oil cards and distributing the fuel directly to residents.

On Wednesday, the Fuel Directorate's Heating Office in Raqqa Canton is distributing heating oil to residents of al-Sabkha and its surrounding villages, following a census conducted by the Raqqa Executive Council in recent months.

The Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria allocates 300 liters of subsidized heating oil per family card at a price of 325,000 Syrian pounds.

According to Abdel Hadi al-Aklah, the supervisor of the heating oil distribution in al-Sabkha, 2,000 families out of 11,000 cards received their heating oil within two days. He confirmed that the distribution process is ongoing and is being carried out directly, with the distribution expected to be completed within a week.

Al-Aklah added, "The quality of the heating oil is good, and its density is monitored before distribution to residents."

The residents of al-Sabkha city called on the Fuel Department and the Executive Council in Raqqa Canton to open another fuel station to alleviate the burden on the only station that is currently distributing diesel fuel.
