Hasaka residents celebrate return of Tishrin Dam's protesters

The residents of Hasaka extended a warm and celebratory welcome to the protesters returning from Tishrin Dam. These demonstrators had staged a continuous three-day protest atop the dam against the relentless assaults of the Turkish occupation forces and their affiliated mercenaries.

On January 28, hundreds of residents from the cities of Hasaka, Tal Tamr, Al-Darbasiyah, and Tal Brak converged at Tishrin Dam, determined to safeguard it against the aggressions of the Turkish occupation and its gangs.

Following three consecutive days of protest, they returned to their respective cities, as additional demonstrators from Amuda, Qamishli, Tirbespi, Çil Agha, Derik, and Tal Hamis arrived to sustain the demonstration.

Upon their return, they were met with a rousing reception by hundreds of Hasaka's residents, who gathered at the southern entrance of the city, near the Panorama Roundabout to express their solidarity and appreciation.

As the crowds amassed at the city’s southern gateway, they proudly raised the flags of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), the People’s Protection Units (YPG), and the Women’s Protection Units (YPJ). Their voices echoed in unison with chants celebrating the steadfast resistance at Tishrin Dam.
