Hasaka Governor, Transport Minister discuss roads, infrastructure reality

Hasaka Governor Nour Eddin Ahmed met on Thursday with Minister of Transport Ya'rub Badr. During the meeting, they reviewed the reality of roads and infrastructure in the governorate, as well as the most significant challenges facing the Directorate of Transport, according to the official Hasaka Governorate website.

Both sides emphasized the importance of developing work mechanisms and improving the level of services provided to citizens. They stressed the need to establish a unified central database for vehicles, which would contribute to addressing existing problems, particularly issues related to locked vehicles and data intersection.

The meeting also addressed plans for the maintenance and rehabilitation of the governorate's main roads, in addition to discussing the reactivation of the railway sector to revitalize transportation and support the economic reality.

The governor called for organizing a field visit by the Minister of Transport and relevant personnel to the governorate to directly assess the infrastructure situation and identify needs, which would contribute to developing implementation plans that meet the requirements of the next phase.
