Hasaka governor announces release of new group of prisoners next Monday

Hasaka Governor Nour al-Din Ahmed announced that a new batch of prisoners from the Syrian Democratic Forces held by the Interim Government will be released next Monday, May 25, as part of the implementation of the January 29 agreement, and following coordination with relevant authorities in Damascus and Hasaka.

As part of efforts to maintain stability and consolidate civil peace in Syria, Hasaka Governor Nour al-Din Ahmed announced an agreement to release a new batch of prisoners from the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) on Monday, May 25, following a series of meetings and coordination with relevant parties in Damascus and Hasaka.

The governor explained that this step comes within the framework of implementing the January 29 agreement, which stipulated the release of a new group of prisoners as part of efforts to enhance stability and consolidate civil peace.

He emphasized that this step reflects the importance of dialogue and understanding among all Syrians and contributes to strengthen trust and creat the appropriate conditions for a phase characterized by security, cooperation, and coexistence.

He stressed that national responsibility requires continued joint action to serve the interests of all Syrians and to preserve the country's unity and stability, steering clear of division and tension.
