Unknown gunmen opened fire today on the so-called “security official” in the occupied Girê Spî area, the mercenary known as “Abu Amer,” injuring him, in addition to four mercenaries who were with him. Their injuries are reported to be severe, and they were taken to hospitals for treatment.

Local sources from the town of Suluk, north of Raqqa, said the four wounded mercenaries belong to what is known as the “security forces” affiliated with the Turkish occupation in the area. No further information has been released regarding their medical condition.

The Syrian territories occupied by Turkey (Afrin – Serê Kaniyê – Girê Spî) continue to suffer from major security chaos and instability, with rising crime and frequent reciprocal attacks between rival and competing factions. These retaliatory operations often stem from disputes over influence and the division of looted property.
