The city of Al-Darbasiyah has been experiencing a diesel fuel crisis since the beginning of this month, leading to neighborhood generators ceasing operation for the third day in a row. This has resulted in a near-total power outage during morning and evening hours, coinciding with a complete lack of fuel at gas stations and its general unavailability throughout the city.

A source in the Al-Darbasiyah Fuel Committee explained that the main reason for the crisis is the failure of the Interim Government to supply fuel to Al-Hasakah Governorate, which has impacted the city's diesel fuel supply.

The source added that the city is currently relying on the main power line, which provides electricity from midnight until the early morning hours, as neighborhood generators are out of service.

According to the committee, a tanker carrying approximately 35,000 liters of diesel fuel is scheduled to arrive in the city soon. This fuel will be used to power the city's 42 generators, an amount sufficient to operate them for only three days.

There is still no information available regarding when regular fuel deliveries will resume. There are fears that the crisis will worsen if the supply disruptions continue, with potentially devastating consequences for services and daily life in the city.
