FSP calls for ending era of wars, dictatorial domination

The Executive Council of Raqqa Canton held a large public meeting today to discuss the latest political developments. The gathering was attended by dozens of Raqqa residents, representatives of civil and military institutions, political parties, people's councils, the Zenobia Women's Gathering, and various democratic community organizations.

The meeting, which took place in the Mishwar Hall in Raqqa, began with a minute of silence in honor of the martyrs. This was followed by a discussion in which attendees posed questions about the current political situation and reiterated the call of leader Abdullah Ocalan for peace.

Responding to the questions, Zilal Jakar stated: "We are confronting a capitalist system and global hegemony. We must put an end to the era of wars and embrace peace. Since 2014, conflicts have persisted, bringing disasters upon the people, while the beneficiaries remain the dictators and authoritarian rulers. Here, we live within a democratic system, and we reject any dictatorial regime seeking to dominate us."

The meeting concluded with an open discussion, during which participants exchanged views and proposed initiatives aimed at strengthening cooperation and joint efforts across different sectors.

This gathering is part of a series of consultative meetings organized by the Executive Council of Raqqa Canton, with the goal of unifying perspectives and positions in response to the political and social challenges facing the region.
