On Sunday, the Syrian transitional government forces closed the road between Tabqa city in the North-East Region of Syria and Salamiyah city in Hama countryside, bringing the movement of passengers and commercial convoys to a complete standstill, and freezing the movement of approximately 100 buses.

The transitional government continues to close the Tabqa-Salamiyah road, a major transit artery, particularly for patients who need to travel to cities within Syria for receiving the medical treatment. This closure constitutes a double humanitarian disaster that directly affects civilians' life.

This closure comes just days after the Syrian transitional government closed the Deir Hafer-Aleppo road on September 27th by erecting earth mounds, completely halting pedestrian traffic. On Sunday, transitional government forces also targeted the crossing point in the city of Deir Hafer towards Aleppo with a drone.

According to a statement by the General Command of the Internal Security Forces in North and East Syria, the Deir Hafer crossing was directly targeted on Sunday evening by "unruly factions linked to the transitional government using a drone, resulting in the injury of four members of the Internal Security Forces while they were performing their duties to protect security and stability."

ANHA agency also monitored the injury of a citizen near the Deir Hafer crossing during the afternoon hours as a result of a drone attack that fired several shells at the densely populated city of Deir Hafer.

Deir Hafer city and its villages witnessed drone attacks and indiscriminate artillery shelling on Sunday, posing a direct threat to the lives of civilians and seeking to spread panic among the population, according to a statement issued by the Syrian Democratic Forces.

Till the time of preparing this report, the city and its front lines are experiencing a cautious calm after hours of indiscriminate shelling that continued throughout yesterday.
