Over 72 hours passed, the firefighter teams in North and East Syria are prevented to head to provide the necessary support. the Syrian Coast by transitional government, despite an initiative was launched by the Union of Municipalities of North and East Syria from the first moment of the disaster to.

The Union of Municipalities of North and East Syria delivered a statement at the municipal stadium in the center of Tabqa city, read by its co-chair, Farida Mohammed. The statement read:

"At a time when the Syrian coastal areas are being subjected to devastating fires that have ravaged forests and homes, causing significant property damage, we are following with deep sorrow the humanitarian and environmental suffering resulting from this disaster.

The Union of Municipalities in the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria took the initiative from the first hours to declare its full readiness to provide all available assistance and capabilities, including firefighting teams and relief supplies, out of our belief that what befalls any part of Syria befalls us all, and that this is a national and moral duty.

However, we regret that this aid has not been allowed to reach our people on the coast at a time when they are in dire need of all forms of support and assistance.

We affirm that natural disasters must be above all political and administrative considerations, and that solidarity among Syrians in such circumstances is a humanitarian and national necessity. We, in the Union of Municipalities, reaffirm our firm position. We stand by our people throughout Syria, and are always ready to provide all possible support whenever the opportunity arises, out of our belief in the principle of shared destiny and shared responsibility."

After the statement was delivered, the firefighting teams returned to their respective locations in the cities of North and East Syria.
