Fire encircles fuel station between Zeghan- Kasra amid fears of environmental disaster

The fires, which were reportedly ignited by Turkish military bases in the countryside of Zerghn, continue to spread toward neighboring areas. The advancing flames have now encircled a fuel station situated between the towns of Zerghn and Kasra, heightening fears that they may reach the fuel tanks inside the facility.

Emergency response teams and local residents are making intensive efforts to contain the fire and prevent it from reaching the storage tanks, as such a scenario could trigger explosions, cause significant material losses, and pose serious environmental risks to the surrounding area.

The situation is further complicated by the rapid spread of the fire due to weather conditions and the abundance of dry vegetation, making containment operations increasingly difficult and necessitating urgent intervention to prevent further escalation.

In a related development, a large fire broke out today in al-Salmasa village, west of Tal Tamr. Residents and emergency teams are continuing efforts to bring the blaze under control and prevent it from spreading to nearby agricultural lands and properties.

At the same time, emergency teams in Tal Tamr continue their operations to extinguish the fires advancing from the direction of Zerghn.
