Fawza Yousef, a member of the Presidential Council of the Democratic Union Party, confirmed that the attacks on the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh neighborhoods in Aleppo with heavy weapons by factions affiliated with the interim government are a violation of the April 1st agreement, in a post on her official account on the "X" platform.

She indicated that these attacks are a violation of the rights of the residents of those neighborhoods, and that they only serve the agendas that want to provoke a civil war in Syria.

She stressed that avoiding these practices is a national responsibility.

The Sheikh Maqsoud, Ashrafieh, and Bani Zeid neighborhoods in Aleppo are subjected to violent attacks and shelling with heavy artillery, rockets, and tanks, while the Internal Security Forces, within their right to legitimate self-defense of civilians, continue to confront all attempts to storm the two neighborhoods, which resulted in the killing and wounding of a number of militants from the interim government factions.
