Explosive device dismantled in Qamishlo countryside

The Internal Security Forces, in coordination with the Mine Engineering Team, dismantled an explosive device placed on the side of a road leading to the town of Tal Maarouf in Qamishlo.

According to the Media Center of the Internal Security Forces, the forces received a report on Friday, September 13, from a citizen in the city of Qamishlo while he was grazing sheep, stating that "an object was placed on one of the roads leading to the town of Tal Maarouf, in the countryside of the city of Qamishlo."

"Our forces in the General Security moved immediately, to the place described in the communication, and secured the place in order to preserve the lives of citizens, and began to uncover the foreign body, which turned out to be an explosive device prepared for remote detonation, to be neutralized and transferred to a designated place," the center added.

The center confirmed that it has inspected the entire place to ensure that it is free of any explosive objects, of all kinds.

It is noteworthy that the road next to which the explosive device was placed is one of the main roads for the movement of citizens, military forces and coalition forces in the area.
