Efforts to form preparatory committee for dialogue conference in As-Suwayda

It will focus on exploring mechanisms for communication and openness with the Damascus authorities, in a way that serves the interests of As-Suwayda and strengthens its national presence.

The source noted that this initiative was driven by several local activists and politicians, with support from expatriates and political activists interested in public affairs. It was recently proposed to His Eminence Sheikh Hikmat al-Hijri, the spiritual leader of the Druze Muslim Unitarian community, and was met with acceptance and welcome.
