As part of the implementation of the agreement reached between Syrian Democratic Forces Commander Mazloum Abdi and Ahmed al-Sharaa on March 10, a delegation from the Education Body of the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria and its representatives met in Damascus with officials from the Ministry of Education in the Damascus government on Sunday, April 13, to discuss the state of education in the region with the Damascus government.

After holding several meetings to discuss joint educational issues, such as unifying curricula, mechanisms for implementing the educational provisions of the agreement, and exploring ways to coordinate curricula, standardize educational standards, and accredit certificates, a delegation from the Education Body of the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria returned to the region over two days.

The two sides have not yet issued an official statement regarding the agenda of the meetings or their outcomes. However, sources confirmed that a new round of meetings will be held in the coming period to complete discussions on outstanding issues.
