Under the slogan "In the spirit of the culture of tolerance and peaceful coexistence, we revive the values of our society," the Forum of the Components and Tribes of the Euphrates was held today on the campus of the University of Kobani in the city of Kobani, attended by several military leaders from the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Interim Government Forces, along with representatives from the Syrian Democratic Council and political parties, in addition to sheiks and dignitaries of the Arab, Turkmen, and Kurdish tribes in the Kobani region.

The forum was also attended by the co-chair of the External Relations Department in the Autonomous Administration, Ilham Ahmed, the Deputy Minister of Defense, Siban Hamo, the advisor to the interim government, Jihad Issa Al-Sheikh, and the Deputy Commander of the 60th Division, Jiya Kobani.

At the forum, on behalf of the Kurdish tribes in the Kobani region, Shiro Mujhan said, "Our communities today are in dire need of restoring trust among their members, reviving the values of love, tolerance, and cooperation, away from hate speech, incitement, and division, because homelands are not built on hatred and conflicts, but on love, understanding, and respect for one another."

He continued: "The negative phenomena we see in our communities are not an inevitable fate, nor are they a temporary matter, but rather the result of long accumulations of neglect, fanaticism, and isolation." On the other hand, goodness exists in this people with all its components, and the values of brotherhood and compassion are deeply rooted in the hearts of our nations, but they need someone to revive, protect, and instill them in our daily lives.

He emphasized that "our responsibility today is not just the responsibility of an individual, a party, or an institution, but it is the responsibility of everyone; the responsibility of every person with a voice, every person with a stance, and everyone who believes that the future of our children deserves our sincere and dedicated efforts. Among them are our noble tribes, with the determination of their men, the sheiks and dignitaries who have fulfilled their historical and societal duty by preserving and promoting the values of good neighborliness among the community members.

Therefore, our participation and support for the 'Tent of Unity and Love' is not merely a symbolic gesture, but a clear message that we believe in civil peace, and we believe that coexistence and love are the true path to stability and security."

Sheik Hussein Abu Adnan, from the Al-Aoun tribe, spoke on behalf of the Arab tribes in the Euphrates region, emphasizing the importance of maintaining unity, rejecting disputes, and working together to support social stability and enhance the spirit of cooperation and understanding among the region's residents.

For his part, the notable of the Kitkan tribe in the Kobani area, Nasrat Kitkani, delivered a speech on behalf of the Sheik of the Barazi tribe, Najib Basrawi, in which he emphasized the necessity of discussing mechanisms to enhance communication and coordination between the Arab and Kurdish tribes to support community security and serve the public interest.

A speech was also delivered on behalf of the advisor to the interim government, Jihad Issa Al-Sheikh, by Sheik Mehrab Al-Hamoud, Director of the Tribes and Clans Directorate in Aleppo Governorate. He said: "We gather today on the land of Kobani to open a new page, on a land and a homeland where there is no place for sedition or hate speech," referring to the historical relations that unite Arabs and Kurds on this land, which represents a model of coexistence and brotherhood. He emphasized the necessity of continuing joint meetings that contribute to building trust and strengthening the social fabric, and that the Kurdish and Arab peoples are partners with a shared destiny on this land. He called for enhancing the spirit of love and cooperation, and that civil peace is a collective responsibility that requires the concerted efforts of everyone to maintain security and stability.

In a related context, the Deputy Minister of Defense in the Syrian Interim Government for Eastern Region Affairs, Siban Hamo (Samir Oso), delivered a speech in which he said: "On behalf of myself and the esteemed Syrian Minister of Defense, we congratulate this blessed gathering. Syria has gone thru very sensitive and difficult phases over the past 14 years, including the fall of the Ba'athist regime, and the country has witnessed internal conflicts and numerous battles." And today, we are working on reactivating national integration and building a modern Syria, where a vision has been proposed based on rebuilding the homeland, and everyone bears the responsibility of uplifting Syria in a manner befitting all its components and factions that live on its land.

He emphasized that all Syrians are required to contribute to the reconstruction of Syria in its new form, as Syria is beautiful in its cultural diversity, in the shared coexistence among its components, and in its tribal and social depth. This gathering is an important step toward building Syria and enhancing the closeness among the people of the same homeland.

The leaders of the 72nd and 60th divisions in the interim government, Brigadier General Amer Aqil (Khitab) and Brigadier General Awad Al-Jassem (Abu Qutaybah), affirmed that "the strength, unity, and future of the Syrians are built together, with one spirit and a strong heart," and that "the Syrian people have suffered for decades from oppression and marginalization at the hands of the Ba'athist regime, which deprived various components of Syrian society of their freedoms. However, the people's will be stronger than oppression, and the Syrians managed to liberate themselves from tyranny to build a new homeland where there is no place for discrimination among the components of the people, a homeland worthy of its children's sacrifices."

They emphasized that "Syria today has a historic opportunity to be a model of coexistence and brotherhood among all its components."

For her part, the co-chair of the External Relations Department in the Autonomous Administration, Ilham Ahmed, said: "We send a message to the Syrian people and the Syrian government that building the new Syria requires ensuring the rights of all peoples and components that were deprived of their rights in the past, and that women must have an effective and essential role in building the future of the country."

She added: "Women have played a heroic role during the past stages, as they bring life, hope, and prosperity. From this standpoint, we are intensifying our struggle to build a united Syria characterized by peace and stability. Our message is clear: there is no place for discrimination in the new Syria among all components, especially women. The state should be based on justice, equality, and genuine partnership. In this geography that unites us, our relationship will remain based on love and peace, and we will continue to work to instill these values among all the people of Syria."

On behalf of the Turkmen tribes, Sheik Khaled Al-Haj Abdul Ghani delivered a speech in which he said: "Today, we stand in the gathering of pride and honor on the land of Kobani. We, the Turkmen tribes, were taught by our ancestors to stand with loyalty and dignity and to contribute to strengthening the bonds of brotherhood with the components of Syria."

At the end of the forum, the government delegation headed to visit the University of Kobani to inspect it.
