Drug trafficking, use network arrested in Tabqa, Raqqa

Today, the Media Center of the Internal Security Forces of North and East Syria published a report on its official website revealing the arrest of a drug trafficking network in Tabqa and Raqqa. The statement read:

"On May 5, our Anti-Narcotics Forces succeeded in arresting a network composed of eight individuals who were promoting drugs in the city of Tabqa. Large quantities of narcotics were seized.

During the anti-drug operations targeting dealers and promoters, members of the anti-narcotics unit uncovered a network engaged in trafficking and using drugs within neighborhoods of Tabqa. The network was apprehended through raids on the homes of its members, where significant amounts of drugs, weapons, and money were seized.

After the investigations concluded, the network was referred to the Public Prosecution to complete the legal procedures against them."

In the city of Raqqa, on Monday, May 12, the Anti-Narcotics Patrol carried out a raid in one of the neighborhoods, which resulted in the arrest of an individual using crystal meth. Drugs and a weapon in his possession were also seized. The Anti-Narcotics Forces continue their efforts to prevent drug dealers from distributing these harmful substances in society and stress the importance of cleansing and protecting the community from the dangers of drugs and limiting their spread to preserve the safety and stability of society.
