Displaced people from Afrin: We want to return safely

Displaced people from the city of Afrin, who are currently living in shelters in Jazera, shared their views with ANHA agency about their desire to return to their areas and homes.

In this context, displaced person Fatima Sido said that she wants to return safely to her home, adding: "We want to return to our land with our strength and will, as we have been away from our homes for several years."

For her part, displaced person Amina Hamza explained that she wants to return, but she has concerns about the road and the security situation upon arrival. She said: "Eight years have passed and we are living in displacement conditions, and our situation is getting worse day by day. We want to return to our homes."

For his part, displaced person Shukri Mustafa pointed out that since they left Afrin in 2018 they have been moving from place to place, adding: “Our children have been deprived of education, and we were forced to leave our homes. We want our return to be with dignity and pride, and the safety of our people must be guaranteed.”
